The list of benefits about why you should do Yoga is endless but hopefully you already know that and that’s why you’re here.

The benefits of yoga are incredible! By creating a regular yoga practice, you can really change your life.
Despite what Instagram culture tells us – rooted in India’s spiritual practices, yoga is less about how it looks and much more about how it feels. Encouraging us to build mental and physical strength, cementing healthy habits for life.
There are no egos in yoga.
A term you will be familiar with if you attend any of my
classes. The beauty of this is letting go of whatever
expectations you have on what your body should be able to do
and accepting what your body can do.
I was nervous about starting yoga as I wasn’t sure what to expect. I don’t work out or go to the gym or anything like that but Zara made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. The class is brilliant and no one is looking at you to see what you can and cannot do. It’s a very relaxing and calming atmosphere. I’ve noticed each week how I can do things better than the week before my balance and strength improves each week. Zara is an amazing teacher and I would recommend this class to others. If you’ve been thinking about it just do it! Rachel
Zara has been a very welcome addition to my practice. As an instructor, she blends anatomical alignment of asana with a genuine understanding of the philosophy of yoga. She is able to lead a class for all levels and abilities, cueing something for everyone and in response to what she sees in the room. I leave each class feeling calm and centered and I'm so happy to have found Luna Yoga! Parah
Luna yoga is fantastic real way of relaxing, switching off and doing exercise.. I haven’t exercised in years after having kids and being outta of the way of it made me so anxious to face a gym or that, I wanted to do something that wasn’t so intense and I have to say this was the best exercise I’ve ever done and getting back to do something for myself again.. Zara is so calming and a fantastic teacher and makes you feel at ease the classes are fantastic and it’s not the same every class it’s always different. I highly recommend Luna yoga it’s really boosted my confidence again. Catherine
This practice has changed not only my physical health but also my mental health and this is thanks to my wonderful yogini teacher Zara. Tasha
I found Yoga in 2015. When I began my yoga journey, I wanted to do all the
things my body didn’t want to do right away. I wanted to be able to get my
hands right down and touch the floor whilst keeping my legs straight, always
wanting to push myself further in asana’s (postures) just feeding my ego
which is the total opposite of what Yoga is.
I thought that Yoga was just stretching, I had no idea of the wonderful
way in which it would change my life. I can honestly say I have never been
happier in my life or felt better and that is thanks to the yoga lifestyle.
My yoga journey has completely changed my mental and physical health.
There was most definitely a stage in my life where I felt lost, I lost
myself and yoga helped me to bring it back home again, reminding me who I
was, even stronger than before. In my physical health I have a chronic
condition, Endometriosis, changing my lifestyle and bringing yoga into my
life has really helped me to cope better with the pain and the mental battle
with it. I still struggle of course but what yoga has done for me is teach
me to cope with life so much better than I did before. I know sometimes
there are days where I am not feeling my best, but I never ever get on my
mat and regret it, the beauty of the physical practice of yoga is that you
listen to your body, if I’m having a day when I feel like that, I’ll move
slower making sure my body gets what it needs.
I qualified from my 200hour training in July 2021, completed further
advanced yoga teacher training in January 2023 and studied Neuro- biomechanics
for yoga in October 2023. I am currently on another 300 hour course to deepen my
understanding and learning of the body and yoga
So, join me on the mat, let go of any expectations, judgements or fear
you may have and move your body, get to know your body and mind better than
before, trust me it’s so worth it!
So to begin, let’s get something straight - who is yoga for?
Absolutely EVERYONE! Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to be
flexible, have good balance or strength to do yoga. Although… in time, are
these things going to improve on YOUR journey? Well that’s a big fat YES!
My ethos is to help remove the stigma around Yoga that you must be able
to touch your toes or do a handstand to be “good” at yoga. Yoga is about
making our bodies feel good, make us more comfortable in our own skin and
most importantly making YOUR body work better for you.
The list of benefits about why you should do Yoga is endless but
hopefully you already know that and that’s why you’re here. One thing I can
tell you is that bringing yoga into your life will be one of the best
decisions you’ll ever make.
My hope for you being here is that you fall in love with Yoga and
yourself. Enjoying your own unique journey, because that’s what we are all
on a big, beautiful journey! Moving your body on your mat, becoming aware of
how your body feels and respecting it for everything it can do and working
towards developing more flexibility, strength, balance and mobility over
time.
One of the things I love about Yoga is that it’s not just on the mat,
Yoga teaches us how to live a better life, spread kindness, appreciate the
life that we have, find contentment, peace and happiness. We don’t need to
be on our mats to do Yoga, yoga is a way of life and I really look forward
to sharing this with you all through the physical practice on your mat,
meditations, connecting to the breath and so much more.
Hatha yoga classes focusing on moving the body, connecting to
the breath and calming the mind.
We move safely always with the intention of increasing flexibility,
balance, strength and mobility.
We learn how to connect to the breath and how to use the breath,
especially in your physical practice and the benefits of how using the
breath can help us in our daily lives.
The atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming, the classes are mixed
abilities, so beginners are always welcome to join. I can promise you that
you will leave every session feeling so relaxed with stress and tension
leaving your body helping you to feel refreshed and bringing calm into your
mind and body.
The benefits of yoga are incredible! By creating a regular
yoga practice, you can really change your life.
Despite what Instagram culture tells us – rooted in India’s spiritual
practices, yoga is less about doing headstands and much more about building
mental and physical strength, cementing healthy habits for life.
So how does it do this?
By committing to a regular practice, yoga will help you build full body
strength, yes that’s right, it’s not just stretching. So, you know the daily
tasks you do, they become a whole lot easier and more enjoyable when you begin
to see that strength develop over time. Not only will it help you develop full
body strength you will of course improve your flexibility and balance. Improving
your flexibility and balance will help you once again in everyday life,
especially as we get older improving our balance can help us lessen the chance
of falling and seriously injuring ourselves. We want to stay as strong and
healthy as possible as I truly believe our health is our wealth.
Your stress levels will dramatically decrease over time and after every
session you always feel that little yogi buzz, (best feeling). When you
regularly do yoga, it helps you become mentally stronger, connecting to your
breath and learning how to use your breath helps our nervous system, the
sympathetic nervous system, which helps energise the body and the
parasympathetic nervous system which helps heal the body. This in turn reduces
stress and anxiety in the body, helping you to feel good and manage daily life
with a bigger smile!
All this and a whole ton more! Incorporating yoga into your life will help
you to get to know yourself better than ever, you will find gratitude, peace,
kindness and love deeper than before. It really is a way of life. If this sounds
like something you want in your life or please do not hesitate to get in touch
and book your class now, you will not regret it!
“There are no egos in yoga”.
A term you will be familiar with if you attend any of my classes. The beauty
of this is letting go of whatever expectations you have on what your body should
be able to do and accepting what your body can do. As humans it’s only natural
that a lot of us can focus on what other people can do and not appreciate what
we can do ourselves, so in a class for example, if you think I can’t get as far
as someone else in a certain posture, this is what you need to let go off. That
is your ego, and you need to let it go and appreciate what your own body can do
and over time and practice you will get further into your postures.
Accepting where your own body is in a certain posture or taking the mind
into the body and really focusing on how that posture feels for your body is the
true beauty of yoga. We are all so unique in our minds and bodies and that is
something I feel should really be appreciated, so what one posture may look like
for someone else may not look the same for you and that is perfectly ok! We are
not meant to look the same. The more you practice and accept where you are in
your body and mind the deeper you will be able to get into your practice because
when you do this you begin to understand your body and how it feels and how to
get it to feel good and move in a way that suits you.
